I’m thinking that a good plan would be to make an effort to blog at least once a month. In this way I can document my progress throughout the PhD experience. Because even when I think the subject is not worthwhile at the time, when reflecting back the posts do in someway have a purpose on the journey.
So, this month, the month of present buying, shift work and babysitting is as always, extremely busy. On top of it all the busyness, my dear Rufus dog fell ill with a tic. Throughout the long sick process, I realised that I had fallen into the malaise of illness. Taking him into to see a vet where he spends all night alone. No one knows if he is alive or dead until they open the front doors in the morning. And all this costs 400 dollars a night? mainly for his oxygen needs. Here in lies the dilemma. If he is going to die, it’s been 3 days now and over a thousand dollars, then shouldn’t he die at home with his family and his best friend the cat?
Yes he should, enough is enough, I have woken up!
Tomorrow he is coming home whether he lives or not it does not matter. Well of course it does but he should at least have the ability to die in the company of his family and not in a cage alone…….to be continued
